Cooking Steps

Step 1

Rinse the fresh seafood under cold running water and pat dry thoroughly with paper towels. Mince garlic, chop fresh herbs, and slice lemon wedges.

Step 2

Season the seafood generously on all sides with salt, fresh black pepper, and your chosen spices (e.g. paprika, Old Bay, or cajun seasoning).

Step 3

Heat olive oil and butter in a heavy skillet over medium-high heat (or preheat the grill/oven).

Step 4

Add the seasoned seafood to the pan. Sear fish for 4-5 minutes per side, or cook shrimp and scallops for 2-3 minutes per side until opaque and cooked through.

Step 5

Finish with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice and a sprinkle of chopped fresh parsley or cilantro. Serve hot immediately with your favorite sides!
