Succulent, fresh seafood prepared to tender perfection. Light, delicious, and filled with clean flavors.
Instructions
- Rinse the fresh seafood under cold running water and pat dry thoroughly with paper towels. Mince garlic, chop fresh herbs, and slice lemon wedges.
- Season the seafood generously on all sides with salt, fresh black pepper, and your chosen spices (e.g. paprika, Old Bay, or cajun seasoning).
- Dredge the seasoned seafood in buttermilk or beaten eggs, then coat thoroughly in seasoned flour, cornmeal, or panko breadcrumbs.
- Heat frying oil in a deep skillet or pot to 375°F (190°C). Fry the coated seafood in small batches for 2-4 minutes until crispy and golden brown, then drain on paper towels.
- Finish with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice and a sprinkle of chopped fresh parsley or cilantro. Serve hot immediately with your favorite sides!
